Christchurch’s Vbase scoops top honours at EVANZ Awards
Christchurch’s premier venue company, Vbase has won three top honours at the 2016 Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) Awards.
Darren Burden, Vbase General Manager picked up two prestigious awards - Venue Executive and Supreme Venue Person.
He was awarded not only Ticketek Venue Executive of the Year, but also the Priava Supreme Venue Person of the Year for his exceptional leadership.
In the Excellence section, the Vbase team scooped the award for the Tompkins Wake Lawyers Excellence in Customer Service for the second year in a row. Judging criteria for this award took into consideration the company’s innovative service ideas and excellent customer satisfaction levels. Judges looked at the company’s vision, strategy, staff induction processes, customer and client satisfaction testimonials and how customer feedback is used to improve business practices.
Vbase Board Chair Tim Scandrett says the awards are outstanding recognition for Darren Burden and the talented, dedicated and hard-working team at Vbase.
“Over the last 12 months the Vbase team has secured, planned and delivered over 700 events - everything from international cricket to live stadium concerts and major conferences - and 2017 promises to be another huge year ahead,” he says.
Vbase employs over 65 full and part time staff and hundreds of casual staff in Christchurch. On any given day more than 500 staff can be working over a diverse range of events across its five venues.
