DESTINATION MARLBOROUGH APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Destination Marlborough, the regions destination marketing agency has appointed Jacqui Lloyd as the new General Manager.

Jacqui is an experienced destination marketing manager who has previously held senior roles with Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Auckland, Tourism Holdings Limited and most recently at the Adelaide Convention Bureau.

Jacqui's in-depth knowledge of international visitor markets, the travel distribution channel, business event attraction and visitor industry stakeholders will be a great asset for Marlborough as the region continues to grow the value of the visitor economy, now worth a million dollars a day to the regions local economy.

Destination Marlborough Chair Nigel Gould said the Trustees were very impressed with the widespread interest in the position, and the obvious experience available. “This reaffirmed the respect that Marlborough has achieved as a region not only in gaining great momentum, but one which is well recognised for the further potential that exists"

Jacqui is no stranger to Marlborough having spent many a holiday at the family bach in the Marlborough Sounds. Jacqui will officially start on Tuesday 6 June.

Destination Marlborough is a not-for-profit Trust established by Marlborough District Council to market Marlborough as a visitor destination.
