Pipeline repair: status update

Pipeline repair: status update

Good progress was made overnight and throughout today on the repair to our RAP pipeline. The damaged section of pipeline has been removed and welding of the new 17 metre section is in progress. We expect that this will be completed later tonight.

We remain on track for jet fuel delivery between mid-day Sunday the 24th and mid-day Tuesday the 26th. Settling, recertification and transport to the airport for use will take another 30 hours.

Alternative supply

Trialing of the temporary jet fuel road tanker loading facility continues at this time. If successful, we would anticipate that jet truck loading at Marsden Point will be available later this evening.
