an advertiser receive a complaint about misleading claims in
their advertising. Our Education and Development Manager Claire
Hofer can provide extra training on this code. View the Guidance Note...

APEC
Advertising Standards Conference
In August, ASA
Chief Executive Hilary Souter attended the APEC Advertising
Standards Conference held alongside the APEC Senior
Officials Meetings in Ho Chi Minh City. She presented on
the set up and governance of a self-regulatory organisation
and on the new Children and Young People’s Advertising
Code. The event brought together more than sixty
stakeholders, including government officials from a number
of the Pacific Rim economies which make up the APEC region
alongside representatives from the global advertising
industry and APEC self-regulatory organisations
(SROs).
