Lotto NZ choose Cloudcheck
Leading local Electronic Identity Verification provider and RegTech company Verifi Identity Services (‘Verifi’) has today announced that the New Zealand Lotteries Commission (‘Lotto NZ’) has successfully implemented Verifi’s Cloudcheck product for online age verification.
Lotto NZ has integrated Cloudcheck into the account sign-up process for its new online Instant Play games to ensure all players are over the age of 18. A player can use their driver licence or passport details to prove that they are over the age 18 in just a few seconds providing a seamless player experience.
“We’re extremely proud that Lotto NZ has chosen a local company to assist them in verifying the age of their players,” says Verifi’s Managing Director Vincent McCartney.
“Cloudcheck is predominantly used by entities to assist them in meeting their obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Act 2009 by electronically verifying their customer’s details,” explains McCartney, “but the successful implementation of Cloudcheck by Lotto NZ shows that it can be used by any sector that needs to verify the personal details of its customers such as education providers, online liquor stores and peer-to-peer websites.”
