Auckland Airport welcomes new flight to Dubai via Bali

Auckland Airport has welcomed the announcement by Emirates that it will launch a new year-round daily service to Dubai via Bali, Indonesia.

From 15 June 2018 Emirates will fly daily from Auckland to Bali with a Boeing 777-300. This flight will operate in addition to Emirates daily Auckland to Dubai direct A380 service.

The new flight will continue from Bali to Dubai, the global hub of Emirates, with convenient connections to 40 European destinations.

Scott Tasker, Auckland Airport’s general manager aeronautical commercial, says the announcement is great news for New Zealand and will add more than 250,000 seats to the route.

“Bali continues to grow as a popular holiday destination for Kiwis, who can now fly there non-stop, year-round. Additionally, this new service provides an option for European travellers to stopover in Bali when flying to and from New Zealand.”

“Emirates has been a very popular airline of choice for many travellers at Auckland Airport since commencing operations in 2003.”

The new service will also provide 20 tonnes of cargo capacity between New Zealand, Bali and Dubai.
