Call on Farmers to end performance pay and pay a Living Wage

The pavement outside the Lambton Quay branch of Farmers was full of workers calling on Farmers to end performance pay and pay a Living Wage.

Many Farmers workers start on the minimum wage with 60% of First Union members at Farmers on a C rating or less with the prospect of minimal increases. Currently 80% of Farmers members receive less than the Living Wage and Farmers is lagging badly behind.

First Union says performance reviews are unfair, using the example of one worker who received awards all year for top service and excellence but was only graded C at their performance review.
