Key appointments strengthen FlexiGroup New Zealand Executive Leadership Team

FlexiGroup New Zealand has bolstered its executive team with Nicole Francis appointed as Chief People and Culture Officer and Laura Valiant joining as General Counsel and Company Secretary.

FlexiGroup New Zealand CEO, Chris Lamers, says the appointments are key to the leading financial services provider maintaining its strong and sustainable growth.

Chief People and Culture Officer

Nicole Francis has been appointed into the role of Chief People and Culture Officer following 12 months with FlexiGroup New Zealand as the Head of People and Capability during which time she oversaw the successful relocation of 300 employees into FlexiGroup New Zealand’s new head office in Newmarket.

She has more than 17 years of human resources experience in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, with a proven track record of success in manufacturing, FMCG, health and investment banking sectors. Before joining FlexiGroup in 2017, she held a range of senior leadership human resources roles at Affin Group, healthAlliance and Waitamata District Health Board.

Nicole Francis steps into the Chief People and Culture Officer role effective immediately.

General Counsel

Laura Valiant has been appointed as the General Counsel and Company Secretary for FlexiGroup New Zealand.

She brings more than 18 years of legal, financial services and executive experience to the role, having provided key commercial, transactional and strategic legal advice for large global companies and financial institutions in both the UK and New Zealand.

Most recently, she held the role of Deputy General Counsel, Head of Legal (NZ) and Company Secretary for Latitude Financial Services (formerly the consumer finance business of GE Capital), sitting on the New Zealand leadership team.

Laura Valiant joins FlexiGroup New Zealand as of 23 July.
