Gull holds pump prices down for the weekend amidst hikes

At least one of the oil giants has increased their prices this week by three (3) cents a litre across all fuel types.

Fuel prices have risen over the last few weeks with regular (91) petrol selling for a maximum of $2.279 per litre and diesel selling for a maximum of $1.669 per litre as of today in certain parts of the country.

Gull confirmed today they will hold their pump prices down for the weekend across their company operated retail and unmanned network.

Rohan Mehta, Pricing Analyst at Gull said, “Commodity prices have risen and the NZ dollar has slumped this week but the optimism stays alive at Gull. We have never been in favour of raising prices towards the end of week, let alone on a Friday. Since many of us get paid around these days, we want to ensure people can get out to enjoy their earnings with their friends and family.”

“Let’s all enjoy Friday and the weekend. Once we are back in office on Monday we will evaluate our prices and any make necessary ajustments,.”
