NZ Q2 Retail Sales Release

NZ Retail Sales for Q2 numbers have just been released.

They came in stronger than expected.

Adjusted Retail Sales on Qtr
1.1%(Consensus +0.4%)

Actual retail sales rose 3.1% versus the results from 12 months ago.

Q1 Retail Sales were revised higher to +0.3% from +0.1%.

The NZD is higher in immediate response.

Current indicative levels are:

NZDUSD 0.6700 / 0.6725
NZDAUD 0.9115 / 0.9140
NZDEUR 0.5790 / 0.5815
NZDGBP 0.5190 / 0.52215
NZD-PY 73.80 / 74.05
