Tower Insurance - staunch supporters of extraordinary people

Today Tower Insurance announced a new partnership with Paralympics New Zealand that celebrates and supports extraordinary people.

Richard Harding, Tower CEO, said that the New Zealand Paralympic team are truly inspirational and represents the values, spirit and high achievement that Tower is working hard to bring to the insurance industry.

"Our customers and our employees have been asking us to be more involved in the community and this partnership is thanks to their suggestions on how we can build a better insurance company.

"Our partnership will be more than just sport and insurance. We want to help create a more diverse and inclusive society and show that when you put your mind to something, the unachievable can become the achievable.

"Our entire business is behind this partnership and with the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games only two years away, the opportunity to be a part of this extraordinary team as they prepare for glory is humbling and exciting," said Harding.

Fiona Allan, Chief Executive Paralympics New Zealand, said that the organisation is thrilled to welcome Tower as a new Official Partner.

"We were lucky enough to announce the partnership to a group of Tower’s leaders last week, and the excitement and energy in the room was palpable.

"Having another big New Zealand business join our team highlights the meteoric rise of Para sports globally and the power of some of our most inspirational sporting heroes," said Allan.

Tower is undergoing a significant transformation, turning a 149 year old Kiwi company into one that challenges and disrupts insurance industry norms, and offers customers a genuine and different choice for insurance. Being more involved and engaged with our communities is an important part of this transformation.
