AUCKLAND, New Zealand – 27 August 2018 – Samsung has been named New Zealand’s ‘Top Brand’, according to results from ‘Asia’s Top 1000 Brands’ annual online survey, conducted by Campaign Asia in collaboration with Nielsen.

The survey, which saw consumers from New Zealand participate for the first time this year, explored Kiwi attitudes across 15 major categories including consumer electronics, retail, apparel & accessories, media and telecommunications.

Samsung also performed well internationally, receiving the overall number one spot as ‘Top Brand’ out of 1000 across the 14 Asia Pacific markets surveyed.

Conrad Heaven, Head of Corporate Marketing for Samsung New Zealand said the results reflected Samsung’s commitment to its New Zealand customers and ongoing investment in technology innovation.

“Being named the ‘Top Brand’ in New Zealand is a fantastic achievement. It’s a testament to Samsung’s market-leading position in the consumer electronics space and our team’s commitment to providing New Zealanders with a first-class customer experience and products that enhance their lives,” Mr. Heaven said.

The accolade comes as Samsung announced a suite of new devices this month, including the Galaxy Note9, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tab S4. The new products, now available for pre-order in New Zealand, are a showcase of premium technology and industry-defining innovation.

The full list of winners has been published on the Campaign Asia website.
