Three Major Awards in 24 hours - Haka Tourism Group on a Roll

The Haka Tourism Group is delighted to announce our recent success at the Adventure Tourism Awards, held in Queensland Australia, on Wednesday 14th of November and the Auckland Business Awards on the same night.

We were extremely proud to be presented with the national awards for both Best Tour Operator New Zealand for Haka Tours and Best Accommodation New Zealand for Haka Lodges.

The Adventure Tourism Awards recognises the outstanding achievements of tourism businesses that service the backpacker, youth and adventure travel sector across Australia and New Zealand. Taking out both awards is testament to our commitment to customer service across the wider Haka Tourism Group.

Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, Haka Tours commenced in 2007 and operates dedicated adventure, snow and mountain bike tours, as well as fully bespoke private tours. The company was created with two clear ideas in mind: that the traditional group touring model needed to be re-imagined and that "size matters".

Our tours include everything you need for a stress-free trip including accommodation, transport, breakfasts and an expert tour guide, but beyond that the customer has the freedom to customise their tour with a bunch of add-on activities, experiences, accommodation upgrades and extensions to make it as individual as they are.

And why does size matter? Our core belief has always been that a small group makes for a far better travel experience and one where the customers can truly immerse themselves in learning about our country and culture. That’s why we have a maximum group size of just 16 people.

With locations nationwide, Haka Lodge’s vision is simple; to provide upmarket backpacker accommodation, whilst costing no more than a normal hostel. Our hostels stand out from the crowd thanks to our clean, modern facilities and our warm, comfortable rooms with cosy beds for a great night’s sleep. But being upmarket doesn’t mean we are stuffy – all of our lodges have a fun, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

Additionally, Haka Tours also received the award for Excellence in Marketing Central Region at the Westpac Business Awards.
