Mobil Queenstown back open for business, and better than ever

Friday 15 March – Mobil Oil New Zealand Limited (Mobil) is pleased to announce the grand reopening of the revitalised Mobil Queenstown service station today, following the completion of substantial upgrades at the site.

Mobil Queenstown, on the corner of Frankton Rd and McBride St, was temporary closed last December and has since undergone a full suite of enhancements to its forecourt and convenience store facilities.

Site improvements include a fresher and brighter re-imaged Synergy forecourt with five new fuel dispensers, the introduction of Pay at Pump with contactless payment, and a high-flow diesel dispenser for busy tradespeople and Mobilcard holders.

The convenience offering has also undergone a complete renovation, and now the service station will now offer high-quality barista-made coffee, a new counter and food-to-go area, and other amenities that have been enhanced to meet Mobil’s high standards.

Mobil Queenstown service station operator Daniel Murphy says he looks forward to welcoming customers back to the site after a summer of renovations.

“I sincerely thank all our loyal customers for their patience while the upgrade was completed,” he says.

“The results speak for themselves. Customers will benefit from the very latest in Mobil fuel technology and a fresh station look, while continuing to enjoy the quality, service, value and convenience that the Mobil brand is known for.

“All our customers both old and new are invited to the grand re-opening today (Friday 15 March), to join the festivities, experience the new site for themselves, get themselves a barista-made coffee, and maybe even win some spot prizes.”

Mobil lead country manager Andrew McNaught says that Mobil’s significant investment in the site recognises Queenstown’s importance as a rapidly growing commercial centre and tourist hub in the South Island.

“As Queenstown and its surrounding district continue to grow, driven by a booming local economy, Mobil Queenstown will continue to play an integral part in servicing the community,” says Mr McNaught.
