Parenting Place Partners With Anxiety NZ To Support Whānau With Anxious Kids
Parenting Place, an Aotearoa-based not-for-profit organisation, has joined forces with Anxiety New Zealand Trust (Anxiety NZ) to provide further education and support to parents and caregivers raising kids with anxiety or big worries.
Through this collaboration, Anxiety NZ’s community will receive 10% off access to Parenting Place’s self-directed course, Untangling Anxiety: Supporting kids through worry and fear, using the discount code ANXIETY10.
Sarah Woollard, CEO of Anxiety NZ says both organisations have a shared vision of seeing whānau and communities thrive, which includes having access to informed resources and practical tools.
“Caregivers of kids experiencing anxiety are key supporters and advocates. Having the knowledge to help, and holding hope, is powerful. The Untangling Anxiety course is a comprehensive resource that we are confidently sharing with our communities. Caregivers will gain valuable skills to help grow positive mental health and develop confidence in a proactive approach to support children and young people,” she comments.
Untangling Anxiety features insights from Dr Melanie Woodfield, Clinical Psychologist PhD, DClinPsy, BSc(Hons), FNZCCP; Parenting Place parent coaches Jenny Hale, Kristin Ward and Sheridan Eketone and presenters, Dayna Vawdrey and Pio Terei, as well as New Zealand parents who have navigated anxiety with a child. The course modules are easy to navigate and include short videos, pop quizzes, whānau stories, tips and strategies, downloadable scripts and resources.
