10 of the Best Generative AI Tools for Entrepreneurs

Generative AI is more than a fad – it’s a next-level tool for business owners and entrepreneurs everywhere. If you haven’t checked it out yet, or if you’re looking for more tools, here are 10 of the best generative AI apps currently on the market.

1. Portrait Pal

When you don’t have the time or money to hire a professional photographer to get headshots for your online presence, Portrait Pal is the solution. With this AI tool, you can generate professional-looking headshots from your existing photos.

As long as you can provide the system with a handful of clear images from different angles, lighting conditions, and expressions, the AI model will have enough to work with to generate a high-resolution, professional headshot.

2. Midjourney

When people think of AI tools for generating images, Midjourney is usually at the top of the list. As one of the most popular generative AI tools around, Midjourney makes the process easy, although all generations are done through Discord either in the Midjourney server or through a DM with the Midjourney bot.

If you don’t already use Discord, at first glance, it might seem like a pain to use it just to generate images, but it’s actually the perfect environment. For example, you can pin your favorite generations to re-roll later or copy your favorite prompts. It’s also easy to change your settings and access account information right in the chat window.

With each standard prompt, Midjourney will give you 4 different generations, and from there you can choose to upscale the images you like, expand the scene in any direction, or regenerate just a portion of an image if you want it to look slightly different. You can also re-roll your prompts with a single click.

If you’re stuck on ideas for prompts, just upload an image and ask Midjourney to provide you with a description, and you’ll get several options. You’ll then have the option to process all or some of those descriptions as image prompts.

The basic Midjourney plan is just $10 per month, which is great if you only need to generate a little bit, or if you just want to try it out and see how it works.

3. Kittl

As one of the best AI tools currently, Kittl is the go-to favorite for print on demand (POD) business owners. Not only does Kittl offer a rich library full of editable templates for t-shirts and flyers, but you can generate images in a bunch of different styles, as well as logos, vectors, and even quotes and slogans. They also have a built-in app for getting your designs printed on your choice of products.

4. Playground

Similar to Midjourney, Playground is a generative AI tool that can create realistic photos or artistic images. Unlike other AI apps, Playground offers a substantial amount of free generations each month. Although the amount has varied in the past, currently you can generate 15 free images every 3 hours.

5. getimg.ai

Of all the tools available, getimg.ai is one of the most underrated. It’s an extremely powerful image generator that also allows you to edit your photos, add words, and expand images in any direction. You can even train your own custom AI model.

6. Ideogram

Ideogram is known for generating artistic images over photorealistic images, although it can do both. You can upload an image and ask Ideogram to describe it, and then run that prompt through the system. This is the tool most people use when they need to generate text with an image.

7. ChatGPT

As the original text-based generative AI app, ChatGPT is great for generating ideas as well as lengthy text in the form of articles, stories, jokes, fun phrases, and anything else you can imagine. It can even be used to write and troubleshoot code.

8. DALL-E

DALL-E is a simple, but powerful image generator. There are both paid and free versions of DALL-E, so you can try it out before you buy it. Both DALL-E and ChatGPT are run by OpenAI, and you can even use them together.

9. Google Gemini

Google Gemini is similar to ChatGPT, and most Google accounts can access the basic version for free. Through a paid subscription, you can get Gemini baked into your Google Workspace apps, including Gmail.

10. Photoshop

Photoshop has been getting some serious upgrades in recent years, and one of the best happens to be the generative AI that powers image generation and the generative fill feature. It’s not as nuanced as other apps, but if you’re working inside Photoshop and need to tweak some images, it’s an incredibly powerful tool.

Generative AI is the future

These are just 10 of the most popular generative AI tools currently in use. As the technology improves, it will only grow in popularity for business owners and hobbyists alike.
