THE SECRETS OF HARRY POTTER IV
The narrative, plot developments, cover and even the title of the fourth book in the much-loved Hary Potter series will be kept secret until its July publication date. New Zealand couriers are planning a simultaneous delivery to main centre bookstores on Friday 14 July, just days after the July 8 UK release. One fact is known - at over 650 pages, Harry Potter IV will be at least twice as hefty as previous titles.

LUNCH WITH BRYCE
Bryce Courtney, author of popular classics such as The Power of One, April Fools Day, The Potato Factory and Tommo & Hawk, will be speaking at a Literary Luncheon at Huka Lodge, Taupo, on Saturday 12 August. OBITUARY IN BRIEF
Andre Deutsch, the British publisher who gave us Norman Mailer's The Naked and the Dead, has died aged 82. Deutsch moved from Hungary to Britain in 1939, and launched his personal publishing career after the firm he worked for, Nicholson and Watson, was reluctant to publish George Orwell's Animal Farm.
