SKI FANS' FINAL CHANCE FOR CHEAP AND UNLIMITED SKIING AT $249
Boarders and skiers have less that a week to take advantage of Mt Ruapehu's 2001 Season Pass deal.
The deal, which closes at midnight on April 30, is an Adult Season Pass for $249, entitling holders to unlimited access at both Whakapapa and Turoa, providing even more terrain for skiers and boarders this winter.
"The offer is the best option ski fans have ever had. It's a great opportunity for skiers and boarders to enjoy the benefits from Ruapehu Alpine Lift's (RAL) purchase of Turoa Ski Resort last year," says Mt Ruapehu's Marketing Manager Mike Smith.
With winter fast approaching, Mt Ruapehu is gearing up for a big season with improvements being made on both ski fields.
"We've had a few snow showers already and the coming season is shaping up well. It's important that people purchase their passes now, as Season Pass prices go up after April 30. Those who take advantage of the special deal will save hundreds of dollars."
The Season Pass deal ends at midnight on April 30, with adult passes on offer for $249, students $189 and $129 for youths under 16. However, from next month onwards a season pass for Mt Ruapehu will set back skiers up to $500 for an adult pass. Over seventies and under fives have no worries, as they ski for free.
RAL says a guided traverse between Whakapapa and Turoa will be available to experienced skiers and a bus shuttle service will operate between the two ski fields.
The Mt Ruapehu Season Pass special offer is open untill midnight April 30, 2001 by visiting www.MtRuapehu.com or phoning 0508 RUAPEHU (0508 782 734).
The passes are photo ID based and non-refundable.
