Techno fans get ready for Stereo Nasties return to Studio Nine tonight, Agent 99 and Shadowgirl host special guests Cuffy and Caro.

Te Papa is getting ready to celebrate Matariki, the traditional Mäori New Year, with five weeks of free shows, lectures, and activities beginning on Saturday 26 May. Traditionally it's a good time to plant and to go fishing, so do that... but treat these activities with respect as during the Matariki they are sacred.

And the sound that The Matterhorn pioneered in Wellington is finally taking off on capital dancefloors, Steppin' Up is Bass Frontiers 2 step moniker, don't miss the chance to check out Auckland's most influential 2 step DJ Jason Howson next Friday.

Saturday 26th - Zen & Clinton Smiley Zen is a bit of an all rounder and his weekly guests compliment that too. By day he pimps fresh tunes from Chelsea Records in Manners Mall bringing the best of it to the Matterhorn and the world on Saturday nights. You can check him out on The Jewel School radio show on radio Active from 7-9 every Saturday and down at The Ho from 10pm playing afro Cuban rhythms, salsa and house beats and more butt wiggling styles than you can wiggle a butt at! This week: Clinton Smiley plays his last set at the Horn for a month, before he wings his way to NYC to represent NZ DJs as the NZ co-ordinator for the Red Bull DJ AcademyŠ you rock!

Sunday 27th - The Matterhorn presents Gilles Peterson Worldwide Gilles began broadcasting his Radio One Worldwide show in 1998. It's a title that refers as much to having an open attitude to musical genres as it does to geography and the globalisation of musical influences. As well as enjoying a huge following in the UK, Worldwide is broadcast to countries as far afield as Japan, Istanbul, Belgrade, Nigeria and across most of Eastern and Western Europe. Peterson's ability to move and change with the times has continued to earn him respect. He has long been respected by hip hop and drum n bass artists, while the new breed of garage and house acts cite him as a major influence. Tune in 6-8pm on Radio Active 89FM

Thursday 31st Expansions with b.lo This Bass Frontiers and Stereo Nasties resident plays a complex blend of soul and technology that goes beyond the surface of music for dancing. Voted by Matterhorn staff as Dj most resembling a socialist dictator B.lo is super serious about his music which means anything from rare jazz, indie, soul, electronica, breaks etc, head music is his speciality.

Wednesday 13th - Jonathan Crayford Jonathan Crayford and his scratch band play live jazz jams the middle Wednesdays of the month. Join the Matterhorn crew for a lively evening of jazz noodles. Crayford is the bomb session musician who has played amongst legends James Brown and Tito Puente
