Kiwi Hairdressers Called To Enter New Zealand’s Most Glamorous Hair Awards
Auckland, 5 February 2002:
Nominations from Kiwi salons and hairdressers are being
requested for the most prestigious and coveted awards in New
Zealand hairdressing - the Schwarzkopf Professional New
Zealand Hairdressing Awards 2002.
A hotly contested competition, Schwarzkopf Professional anticipates a huge response from the 2800 salons throughout the country, especially since introducing a new category, Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Salon of the Year.
Craig Manson, Schwarzkopf Professional General Manager, says the Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Salon of the Year Award will add greater competition and interest and produce an even higher standard and number of entries.
“There is a strong commercial incentive in producing a collection works for the Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Hairdressing Awards, which can then be used to market the salon. The salon team must include a balance of experienced and younger stylists, so it is also a great opportunity to recognize and nurture new talent,” says Manson.
The theme of this year’s 2002 Awards is Dream, which Manson says captures the realm of possibilities open to those who win the coveted Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Hairdressing Awards.
“At Schwarzkopf Professional we are passionate about hairdressing and investing in the future of our industry and aim to give New Zealand’s talented hairdressers opportunities to realize their dreams.
“Prizes for each winning category include $25,000 of advertising in two issues of Fashion Quarterly magazine, as well as media exposure throughout Australasia,” says Manson.
To enter the Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Hairdressing Awards 2002, nominees must be professional hairdressers working in a registered salon. There are three regional titles awarded with each regional winner going forward to contest the national title. Salon teams competing for the Schwarzkopf Professional Salon of the Year Award must all have worked in a commercial hairdressing environment for a minimum of three years.
Nominations for the Awards remain open until 28 March 2002 with completed entries due by 28 June 2002. Salons throughout New Zealand will receive their nomination forms this week and can also get them directly from Schwarzkopf Professional Head Office in Auckland.
The Schwarzkopf Professional New Zealand Hairdressing Awards gala event will be held in Auckland on Saturday 12 October 2002 following the judging which is in mid August.
