Export Gold Turns Up Fresh NZ Music

May 15, 2002

In tune with New Zealand music month Export Gold has launched a multi-media platform to help thrust fresh Kiwi music talents into the public limelight.

Exportgold.com is a state-of-the-art interactive website, which hosts a “Ones to Watch”, section designed to promote upcoming Kiwi music artists and bands alongside Export Gold’s three key media partners.

Fresh Kiwi talent featured on exportgold.com are jointly promoted through Channel Z, The Chilli Factor television show screened on TV 4 and Sky, and in Rip It Up Magazine.

Export Gold is one of few brands dedicating considerable resources to assist emerging Kiwi talent in their quest for success.

Export Gold brand manager, York Spencer, says most companies and brands will only support well-known acts and talents because of the publicity and exposure benefits they receive by being associated with such groups.

“However, Export Gold’s philosophy is more about supporting the people who really need the assistance and public profile to make it in today’s competitive music world,” York says.

The exportgold.com assists new talent by featuring photographs, biographies and interviews of them in the “Ones to Watch’ section and invites artists and bands to submit songs onto the site.

Exportgold.com also showcases interviews and video snippets of fresh bands and artists featured on The Chilli Factor show.

Fresh talent showcased on exportgold.com is further profiled in Rip It Up Magazine and during Channel Z’s New Zealand Music Updates programme.
