Monday October 14 6pm. Playmarket's Bruce Mason Playwriting Award annoucement. (An embargoed media release will be issued on Monday). This award since 1983 has annually recognised the work of an outstanding emerging playwright. This is one of very few (and the longest standing) award relating to our theatre, and plays a vital part in the careers of our playwrights. Previous winners have included David Geary, Hone Kouka, Duncan Sarkies and Briar Grace Smith.
Wednesday October 16 7pm Playwriting for Radio Radio New Zealand's Eva Radisch and writer Jo Randerson discuss the pitfalls, practicalities and state of play currently for writing radio drama. At Playmarket, Level 2, 16 Cambridge Terrace, $10 inclu. refreshments, Bkings Ph. 04 382 8462.

Friday, October 18 7pm Very Lucky People by Peter Cox Kael has twice been awarded the same scholarship. Lenny owns a computer consultation business called The Computer Consultation Business Ltd. Stanley is pregnant. These are very lucky people. A new drama from a strong emerging playwright. Director: Andrew Foster.
