Kiwis and Aussies have some quite different ideas when it comes to who and what brands they trust the most.

Professions

New Zealanders trust the Police more. Police scored more highly in New Zealand than they did in Australia, where they were ranked 8th compared to 6th in New Zealand.

Pharmacists are more trusted in Australia than in New Zealand where they ranked 7th compared to 5h in Australia.

Doctors were ranked 5th in New Zealand and 6th in Australia.

Religious ministers are less trusted in New Zealand where they ranked 16th, compared to 11th in Australia.

Banks are more trusted in New Zealand where it ranked at 10th and at 19th in Australia, where the most common statement made about banks was “they rip people off”.

Journalists are more trusted in New Zealand with a ranking of 21st, compared to 22nd in Australia.

Kiwis and Aussies agree that politicians are the least trusted profession. They both shared 25th place (last place) in New Zealand and Australia.

Brands

Kiwi kids are Weet-Bix kids, where as Aussie kids trust Kellogg’s for their breakfast cereal.

New Zealanders and Australians agreed that Visa, Panadol, Sunbeam, Sony, and Colgate were the most trusted in their brand categories.

No surprise re airlines! Kiwis voted for Air New Zealand and Aussies for Qantas.

When it comes to computers, Australians trust IBM, while New Zealanders chose Hewlett-Packard.
