NZers may compete in inaugural Worldwide Golf Club Tournament at St Andrews
New Zealanders could be among the field in the inaugural Worldwide Golf Club Tournament taking place at the home of golf, St. Andrews, Scotland, on June 14 to 19.
A total of 144 golfers representing 36 golf clubs from around the world will have a unique opportunity to compete on the famous Scottish Championship Links Courses, including a guaranteed round on The Old Course, St Andrews.
The event will be stableford format and will include 54 holes of links golf on The Old Course, The New Course and Kingsbarns, with a practice round on the Devlin Course at the St. Andrews Bay Golf Resort and Spa.
The Old Course Experience organisers say teams can be made up of men, ladies and juniors all of whom must be from the same golf club. The handicap limit is 18 for men and 36 for ladies.
A Scottish theme will be followed throughout this prestigious event, including the wearing of full Scottish attire at the final Gala Dinner. Generous prizes will be awarded for a variety of competitions including handicap and scratch prizes, longest drive and nearest the pin. Programmes for non-golfers are also available.
