Kiwis Invited to the Old Course – St. Andrews

New Zealanders are being invited to St Andrews in Scotland for two special tournaments later this year giving golfers from across the world a unique opportunity to compete at the home of golf.

The second Father and Son Tournament held in honour of Old Tom Morris and his son, will be a ‘better ball’ stableford competition held on April 12 to 17 and include 72 holes of links golf on The Old Course, The New Course, Kingsbarns Golf Course and Crail Golf Course.

The handicap limit is 24 and the field is restricted to 30 teams from around the world.

The 2002 Tournament saw teams from USA, England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, Malaysia and Japan taking part and was won by Tom Chillemi Snr. and Jnr. from Georgia, USA.

The inaugural Mother and Daughter Tournament will be a better ball stableford competition held on May 11 to 15 and include 54 holes of links golf on The Old Course, The New Course and the Jubilee Course.

Handicap limit is 36 and the field is limited to 20 teams from around the world. This will be the first ever Mother and Daughter Tournament to be held on The Old Course, St. Andrews.

The events are being staged by The Old Course Experience organisation which has an exclusive commercial contract with the St. Andrews Links Trust and offers golfer guaranteed starting times on the Old Course, St. Andrews.
