AW Reed Authors' Choice Award For 2003
AW Reed Authors' Choice Award For 2003
Authors are being asked to nominate their publisher for the AW Reed Authors' Choice Award. Sponsored by the Alfred & Isabel & Marian Reed Trust, the award is administered by the New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc). The purpose of this award is to honour the memory of New Zealand publisher Alexander Wyclif Reed and to award the New Zealand publishing company who is judged best in its working relationship with New Zealand authors.
"The author/publisher relationship is an important one and we want to create a 'best practice' model for managing that relationship," says NZSA executive director Liz Allen, "Authors are asked to fill in a questionnaire telling the judges what their publisher does well and why they should be given this award."
Nominations will be judged by a panel of judges and the award will be presented at the 2003 Book Industry Awards in Christchurch.
The questionnaire is available by e-mailing the NZSA office. Email: mailto:nzsa@clear.net.nz or writing to 'Authors Choice Award', PO Box 67-013, Mount Eden, Auckland 1030. Deadline for nominations is April 4th 2003.
