Calling All Beer Lovers, food lovers ………

Calling All Beer Lovers, food lovers ………

Book your diary, book leave, book the baby sitter and book ahead for cheap airfares to Wellington for BrewNZ, a week of celebrating the craft of brewing and great beer from 26th-31st May.

The only National celebration of beer in New Zealand, BrewNZ brings together all our best brewers and brews, from the biggest to the smallest breweries in New Zealand. With names like Swine Lager (a special edition manuka beer), Gisborne Gold, (reputed to have a cult following in Wellington) Black Magic (described as a malt black beer, ruby to black in colour, with coffee and vanilla aroma, and espresso palate with praline finish), the list goes on. A Wicked Blond lager may be more to your taste or Monteith’s Chocolate Stout now the weather has turned cooler.

Kerry Tyack, beer and food expert and Director of BrewNZ, says as well as the more familiar ale and lager brands there will be 15 Festive Brews to be tasted which are unique and wonderful beers specially brewed for BrewNZ 2003.

Over 20 Wellingtons bars, restaurants and cafes have teamed up with the brewers to be offering a progressive tasting around the city, with each establishment matching the beer with the best choice of food.
