2003 WHISKAS National Cat Show takes place this weekend

Wellington, 27 May – Wellington is preparing itself for a feline invasion this coming Queen’s Birthday weekend as cats and their owners from all over New Zealand unite for the 2003 WHISKAS National Cat Show.

Taking place at the Indian Cultural Centre in Kilbirnie, the two-day WHISKAS National Cat Show will put the spotlight on cats of all sorts, shapes and sizes. As many as 460 entries have been received including a large local contingent and more than 8,000 people are expected to visit the show over the two days.

The event continues to be the number one feline show of its kind in the country, bringing with it strong local and national media interest. The field of judges has been picked from across the globe including the United States, Israel, South Africa and France. The WHISKAS National Cat Show regularly includes a wide variety of rare breeds and pedigrees as well as domestic moggies and kittens.
