WETASAURUS WEDNESDAY Wednesday 24th September and Wednesday 1st October, 11am and 2pm. Wetasaurus, Dinomites club president, makes an appearance both Wednesdays of the holidays. Come and say hi and pick up a trail.

BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS of the MUSEUM Wednesday 24th September, 11am and 2pm. Dinomite members free. $5 for non-Dinomites. These special children’s tours will leave from the foyer. Both tours will be the same, covering many different areas of the Museum. Bring some questions with you and see what you can find out! Bookings are essential. Ring 09 306 7077 from Monday 15 September.

INCA STORYTELLING Friday 26th September, 1:30pm Find out what it was like to be an Inca with this quirky tale. Recommended for children aged 7 years and over. In Treasures & Tales.

DIG IT UP DINOSAUR DAY Sunday 28th September Excavate some ‘dinosaur bones’ in the Museum Store with Dig It Up! Chip away at the excavation site until you uncover the bones of these prehistoric giants, and then fit together the pieces to recreate a dinosaur. Participate in the excavation in the Store, or do one of our 10-minute Dinosaur craft activities in the Discovery Centre to go into the draw to win one of 3 amazing Dig It Up kits! Winners will be drawn on the day.

CITY TRAIL Pick up an Auckland City trail from the foyer or the Discovery Centre to complete around the Museum. Available every day throughout the school holidays. Running as part of the AKLD:03 Festival.

COLOURING COMPETITION Pick up a colouring competition from the tropical marine tank in Weird & Wonderful every day of the holidays, and go into the draw to win tickets to Disney and Pixar’s new movie, Finding Nemo.

10-MINUTE CRAFT ACTIVITIES Suitable for all ages. No bookings required. All activities cost $2 ($1 for Dinomites) Daily from 10am – 12noon and 1:30pm – 3pm.
