Pine Harbour Food & Wine Festival

Media Release
22 December 2003

Pine Harbour Food & Wine Festival

The Pine Harbour Food & Wine Festival will be held on Saturday 24 January 2004 at the Pine Harbour Marina in Beachlands.

Starting at 11am and continuing until dusk, festival goers will be treated to a wide range of food, wine and imported beer in a gorgeous marina surrounding.

Co-organiser Barry Keon says that the festival is all about promoting the Pohutukawa Coast area. "We want people to make the most of our beautiful coast and harbour by bringing their boat or catching a ferry to a great day out. Of course you can also arrive by car, bus or taxi!"

Vineyards represented include Villa Maria, Montana Wines, Matua Valley and Coopers Creek. They will be joined by Imported Beers, Interport (imported wines) and Beerforce (selected imported beers).

Tastebuds will be tantalised with foods from China, Thailand, India and Mexico as well as the classic kiwi roast. A salad bar, pizza bar, fish and chips stand and pacific oysters from the Clevedon Coast are all available.

Ferries will run from Waiheke Island and from downtown Auckland. Fullers will also run ferries if there is the demand. Car parking is available by donation. If arriving by private boat, there are some marinas available. Alternatively you can moor off the marina and get a water taxi to shore.

Cost is $20 per adult, or $15 for early bird tickets. Call 536 5195 or 536 6678 for tickets and further details.
