FRINGE '04: Live Rugby Music

Live Rugby Music - Press Release

The team that brought Jazz to Rugby Commentary to last year’s film festival is back with more. Jazz-funk band The Tight Five returns with grooves to match moves as the Hurricanes face the Chiefs live on the big screen. Live Rugby Music is the perfect date for the rugby head whose partner wants a night out. Or, the New Zealander who yearns to hear the music that flows through the veins of our game.

Featuring:

Samoan sensation Andre Paris on saxophone; Mark Nelson on drums (has played in the Charmaine Ford Trio); Dan Ryland on guitar; plus trumpet, bass and keyboard. Rob Edgecombe directs his own music, taking his lead from the rhythms of the game itself.

Where: Stream Community Church, 94-96 Riddiford Street, Newtown.
When: Saturday 21 February, 7.35p.m.
Ticket prices: Adults $15; Students (with ID) $13; Fringe Addicts $11; Children under seventeen $8.
