PUPPET SHOW - DR VOK AND THE TOAD’S TWISTED KITCHEN
Witness puppeteer Zero
with Toad and Dr. Vok in their quest to create a recipe for
the perfect animal assistant. From a travelling circus to
ancient Egypt, these creations will take you on a wild ride,
so come prepared dressed as your favourite wild animal and
join in the fun.

Visitors are invited to take a walk on the wild side with this special self-guided passport. Explore the gallery, search for clues and answer tricky questions. Complete your passports and go in the lucky prize draw to win books from Reed Publishing. Pickup your passport from the ticketing desk in the foyer.

IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF
HOCHSTETTER
Austrian geologist Ferdinand von Hochstetter
explored the northern shoreline of the Manukau Harbour as
far as Whatipu in January 1859. Travelling by boat and foot
he described the geology of this coast for the first time
and visited early kauri milling sites. Bruce Hayward leads
this geographical and historical fieldtrip, suitable for the
whole family, which traces the places Hochstetter visited
along the Manukau Harbour.

HAT/TE POTI RO POTAE BOOK READINGS – SUNDAY 18 APRIL
- Sunday 18 April, 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm
The Cat in the Hat
(Te Poti Ro Potae) is now being published in Maori and will
be available from the Museum Store. To celebrate we will be
holding special readings in both English and Maori, outside
the Museum Store. Come along and meet the famous Cat in the
Hat yourself!

ANZAC DAY - SUNDAY 25 APRIL
