Japanese Film Stars At Heron’s Flight Vineyard
Japanese Film Stars At Heron’s Flight Vineyard
Akimasa Haraguchi, Rieko Miura, David Hoskins, Saori Takizawa, Katsunori Takahashi at Heron’s Flight Vineyard on May 13th 2004.
These famous Japanese film stars and models needed a vineyard cafe to film the story of four friends having an amazing adventure in New Zealand. The story is about their activities relaxing and having time out in the New Zealand countryside. The film is being shown in Japan and is sponsored by Zestbury.
Heron’s Flight Vineyard Matakana, in Rodney, just North of Auckland, was the fortunate venue for a day of fun and frolic on the movie.
The stars crushed some grapes, tasted some wine out of barrels and then had to guess from a range of wines blind-tasted from bottles.
David Hoskins, owner of Heron’s Flight, hosted them. Akimasa acted as a wine waiter and caused a great many laughs.
Akimasa Harada is a very popular comedian. He not only makes jokes, he also imitates other actors and comedians. Watch out David!
Rieko Miura was a pop singer in a three- girl music group called Coco. Now she is an actress.
Saori Takizawa is a top Japanese model, and does some acting also.
Katsunori Takahashi is a superstar. He starred in a TV programme called Sarari Man Kintaro - it means Kintaro, the Salary Man
He plays Kintaro and is the hero of the drama, a former bad boy trying to make good working in an office. It’s about how life is. He is extremely popular, and everybody in Japan is very jealous of Hiroko Nakamura, who works at Heron’s Flight and had a nice chat with him without realizing how famous he is.
“He was very friendly and easy going” says Hiroko. “I thought he was just one of the crew.”
