48hours - Furious Filmmaking Auckland Winners Announced

Last night more than 2000 appreciative members of the public turned up to celebrate furious filmmaking. The finalists were twelve of the 71 eligible films that were handed in only last Sunday. Over 2300 people took part in this years 48HOURS - during the weekend of June 11-13, they all took to the streets/ hills to shoot short film. The results have been most impressive.

The forum on the website http://p208.ezboard.com/fincrediblefilmfestfrm1 has over 30,000 visits in two weeks. Teams helped each other out pre-comp and are now giving feedback.

The winners from Auckland and Wellington will also be online soon at the all new http://www.nzshortfilm.com website.

The best of both cities will be screened on C4 in a few weeks. A one hour documentary on the making-of the 48HOURS experience was commissioned fand will also be screening on C4.

The Auckland Finalists screened on the huge Civic screen to a very enthusiastic crowd.
