Mission Concert fever due to hit
Mission concert fever is about to grip Hawke’s Bay and the nation as ardent fans hit the concert’s website www.missionconcert.co.nz to be among the first to know who will perform next year.
Sports and Entertainment Limited (SEL) Director of Operations Garry Craft is expecting website visitor numbers to increase as the annual speculation campaign driven by concert fans gets underway today.
“One of the unique aspects to this icon event is the guessing game surrounding who will be performing. We expect this to really heat up once a concert date is announced shortly.
“We are urging fans to register on the site so they don’t miss out on any important updates including the concert date, the artist(s) announcement and first rights on tickets,” Mr Craft said.
The website already has a strong following with over 2000 members and a current advertising campaign aims to boost the membership.
Another significant benefit for out of town fans is giving them a head start in their concert preparations including booking travel and accommodation.
“Hawke’s Bay is always overwhelmed with demand for accommodation and we see this as a way of assisting the Mission Concerts dedicated fans and the local tourism industry.
“The website helps us keep on top of public enquiries with all important and relevant information available on the site,” he said.
As an added incentive those registering before November 1, 2004 go into the draw to win an ‘on the meadow experience for two” including delicious food, fine Mission Estate wine and a stunning view of the concert.
