1. Two Young Cats Seek Groovy Home Together (slightly off topic sorry) Jimmy is a dark tortoise shell, digs people and tries to talk, I swear. M is a light tortoise shell, a bit more socially reserved, but fetches as well as any dog. I'm not making this up. Both are less than two years old, house trained,spayed, and in excellent health, according to their vet. We'd love to take them on our OE, but that would be just dumb, wouldn't it. 2. Music Teachers - list your services on the NZ Musician website The recently relaunched NZ Musician magazine website is going off - but we're missing you! The site includes our Music Tutors Directory, which we want to make just as comprehensive as possible so that musicians can quickly find out which tutors are available. www.nzmusician.co.nz is attracting around 500 visits a day and growing. The site is a massively valuable resource for musicians, researchers and music lovers. There's an always-fresh news section, a growing collection of online back issues, a musician's help forum, gig guide, lessons - plus, of course, our trusty selection of Directories (currently there are eight - Labels, Studios, Artists, Brands, Equipment Distributors and Educational Institutes, Music Tutors and Producers/Engineers).

As the Manager for Classic Hits, Wairarapa I'm wanting to tap into exclusive artist promo opportunities in my region for the Trev Hill Classic Breakfast Show.

The Wairarapa has a population of 40,000 approx and is often a neglected and grossly underestimated market. Occasionally I have large clients who'd like to book entertainment in the region and pay handsomely.

Over the next year I'd like to feature up and coming (and established) artists who's music fits the genre and our program demographics.

15. South Seas film school looking for musicians for students to practise making videos on + info on attending their music video making course Once in a while, a great opportunity presents itself. Here's one for all the budding musicians out there who have a great sound, but have no way to make that all important video to help sell it. An exciting new 2 week MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO course will be introduced at South Seas Film/TV School this October. STUDENTS WILL BE LOOKING FOR ARTISTS TO FEATURE IN THESE VIDEOS.

During the two weeks, students will work on the latest technology, broadcast quality cameras to shoot a music video. They'll also discover how the editing process works. There will be a maximum of six students working on each video. Over the first week, they'll learn how to create great images with correct framing, composition, camera angles and movements. They'll also discover how shot sizes are used in the visual narrative process. Week two involves shooting and editing the music video.

These courses have been carefully structured with the aim of producing broadcast standard videos which can be shown on network TV. Public screenings of the videos will also be held in the future.

We see it as a win/win situation. Students learn the basics of film making with a completed, professional looking music video. ARTISTS GET THEIR SONGS ON THE SCREEN!. These courses will appeal to both budding film makers and musicians who want to make their own videos in the future.. It costs only $1200 for the full time two weeks. (60 hours in all).

The emphasis is on FUN. It's the best way to learn, and the best way to produce great results.

Music job in Manchester Project Coordinator 'In The Mix' Youth Music Programme 'In The Mix' is an ambitious and highly creative, 12-month, strategic music-making programme for young people, across Greater Manchester. 'In the Mix' will create access to music-making opportunities across a diverse range of musical genres for young people aged 13-18 years. The project will encourage refugee musicians of all ages to contribute to the activity with young people, whether as workshop leaders or as accompanying musicians. We are keen that young people in Greater Manchester are able to benefit from the musical talent and knowledge base of our Refugee communities. 'In The Mix' is also about futures and developing work that will have tangible legacies. The project includes an extensive training programme to identify, support and train new and emerging music workshop leaders for the future. It will also offer support/professional development to emerging young musicians and bands. An experienced and dynamic Project Coordinator is now sought to manage this programme. Applicants should have a minimum of three years project management experience and an excellent understanding of youth arts and/or youth music development.
