Chamber Music New Zealand to announce 2005 artists

New Zealand¹s largest chamber music presenter, Chamber Music New Zealand, will announce the artists touring in its 2005 Celebrity Season at the end of the month (Thursday 30 September).

Chamber Music New Zealand presents local and international chamber music ensembles throughout New Zealand. The organisation is divided into three strands: the Celebrity Season, which showcases premiere international artists; the Associate Societies programme, which focuses on New Zealand performers; and the New Zealand Community Trust Chamber Music Contest, which fosters the musical stars of the future.

Chamber Music New Zealand¹s Celebrity Season brings the world's finest chamber music ensembles to nine centres around the country. Feature artists vary in nationality and style. All share a high reputation for virtuosity and vitality.

Chamber Music New Zealand¹s announcement will also reveal two special events in addition to the 2005 Celebrity Season. General Manager, Brian Budd says, "Every year we aim to bring the world¹s best chamber musicians with classic, contemporary and challenging repertoire to a loyal New Zealand audience. The inclusion of two concerts outside of the Celebrity Season allows the chamber music experience to be shared amongst an even wider audience. In 2005 we are looking forward to presenting the very best in chamber music to all music lovers."
