Newtown Festival 2005 - Wellington Zoo

The Organising Committee of the Newtown Festival is pleased to have a couple of the special activities of Wellington Zoo as part of the 2005 Newtown Festival.

During the Festival there are two event happening that are focussed towards the participation of families. On the Sundays in March, the Family Fundays Sundays with Zappo the Magician are held at Wellington Zoo. The children are invited to dress as their favourite animal and receive a FREE Zoo soft toy. There's a Big Critters/Little Critters Activity Sheet that is completed during your time at the Zoo and placed into the draw to win an annual pass. There are loads of awesome activities including Zappo the Magician. There are also the Keeper talks where they share information about your (and their) favourite animal.

The other event is the Critter Adventure : On Monday or Wednesday 10.30am to 1.30pm, the kids can cart their parents to Wellington Zoo for a guided tour by Crazy Cameron the resident Chameleon. The adventure begins at 10am at the Zoo entrance where Crazy Cameron will meet you to venture into the animal world. Check out an array of creatures on your tour ending with a Close Encounter with a top secret critter before you and your parents head off for a coffee at Eva Dixon's Cafe at the Zoo.
