Ford Fans Able To Purchase Tickets To Exclusive Supercar Events On Motor Company's New Web Site

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 16 March 2005

Ford New Zealand's new look web site – www.ford.co.nz - has a special feature which will appeal to fans of the Aussie V8 Supercar series.

The web site has a facility for Blue Oval supporters to purchase tickets to the Ford V8 Superbreakfast or to Ford hospitality and grandstand options at the Pukekohe Supercar round itself (Friday 15 – Sunday 17 April).

The first of the Ford events is the legendary Ford V8 Superbreakfast, taking place in Auckland on Thursday 14 April, and all of the Ford drivers competing in the championship will be in attendance.

The 2005 event is to be held at a new venue – Eden Park – and as well as all Ford drivers it will also involve a number of Auckland Blues rugby players and Ford sponsored Olympic and World Champion cyclist, Sarah Ulmer.

Driver interviews and question time will take place throughout the morning, and a 'Game of Two Halves' quiz will form part of the entertainment. Drivers will also be on hand to sign merchandise and other racing memorabilia.

Tickets to Ford hospitality packages at Pukekohe race track itself are also on line - there are two different ticket/ weekend packages available.

Ford Mountain ‘True Blue’ Grandstand The Ford Mountain grandstand is located at the very highest point of Ford mountain and is a dedicated Ford supporter's area only and takes up to 800 fans. Tickets include a Pit entry pass so a visit over the track to check on the action is a must. The uncovered area is reserved for True Blue ticket holders only – making it one of the most sought-after spots track side.

Ford Blue Oval Club Hospitality Ford fans will know this space well as one of the best places to watch the racing from in the dedicated Ford grandstand lounge. The covered seating overlooks front straight, and has a direct view to the first two corners.

The grandstand also features Playstation units, TV screens with live racing, and will have appearances and interviews from Ford drivers throughout the weekend.

Grandstand ticket holders will receive a souvenir programme, full catering for three days and a complimentary bar from 12-2pm each day.

Tickets to all of the above events can be purchased online by visiting www.ford.co.nz, and then booking under the 'V8 Supercar Packages' section.
