Suave Simon Brings Life’s Issues Alive On Viva Fm

Suave television presenter, interviewer and lawyer Simon Dallow will host a three-hour morning magazine covering the latest life issues and trends, as one of the strong line-up of presenters on The Radio Network’s new station, Viva FM, being launched this month.

Viva takes over from Easy Listening i and will provide information and an easy music mix.

“The profile is predominantly female and they want a mix of music and information that is entertaining, positive and uplifting,” said Viva FM’s operations manager, Dallas Gurney. “They want to stay in tune with the latest easy music and lifestyle trends.

“Viva’s strong selection of hosts will add value to the listening experience,” he said.

“Simon Dallow’s 9am to noon slot, Simon Dallow Today, will take a deeper look at what Viva’s audience is talking about each day. He’ll be covering all the important things in life, including family, health, travel, entertaining, shopping and money.

“We expect Simon and his regular guests will keep listeners on the cutting edge of trends.”

Viva will lead in each day during the business week with its Breakfast show, hosted by witty Dean Young and seasoned journalist, newsreader and presenter Raylene Ramsay. Following on from Simon Dallow Today, the award-winning John Tesh Radio Show will run noon to 4pm, with Tim Roxborogh from 4pm to 8pm and singer-presenter Gael Ludlow hosting her romantic programme, Lovesongs ’til Midnight.

Said Dallas Gurney: “Viva will add new life and motivation by providing new information features of interest for existing listeners and a wider audience.

“The new brand better reflects the new offering. The new look is designed to strengthen listeners’ emotional connection to the station.”

He said the launch of Viva followed a major research project aimed at increasing understanding of the frequency’s existing audience and what would improve the service for them as well as attract new listeners.

Viva FM will be found at 98.2 FM in the Auckland area, 90.3 in the Hawke’s Bay, 95.1 in Rotorua and 99.0 in Tauranga.
