48 HOURS

48Hours is officially NZ's largest film competition. Teams have just 48 hours to create an entire short film from scratch - this means writing, shooting and editing - or die trying. And if that wasn't tough enough, teams don't even know what genre their film project will be until the clock has started ticking.

Once again, LOOP Recordings Aot(ear)oa is proud to support 48Hours, a competition that will see up-and-coming film makers reach audiences numbered in their hundreds of thousands. This year participants will be able to select any track from the LOOP catalogue for their films with out paying a cent!

LOOP will also include their complete catalogue in the premiere prize pack, plus loads of copies of gold-selling CD and DVD LOOP Select 005: Good Shit Happens.

SKALLANDER: THE CAMELS

Also, we are pleased to announce the first LOOP artist album of 2005: "The Camels" by Skallander. The album is a co-release of Involve and LOOP Recordings. Skallander is the earthy name for the aetheric collaboration between Matthew Mitchell (ex-Wellington jazz scene, lately Hungarian media mogul) and Bevan Smith (of Aspen, Signer, Marineville fame).
