Bass Frontiers welcomes back original BF soldier

Bass Frontiers welcomes back original BF soldier, DJ Sean. Tonight @ Sandwiches for Breaks Royale!!!!

Breaks Royale

The sexier side of Breakbeat and Drum & Bass (Est. 2001)

Breaks Royale was created in 2001 by Belinda (a.k.a DJ B-Line) and Jonnie Sandwiches (then Jonnie Paradiso) as a Breakbeat/Drum & Bass party suitable for the lounge environment of Paradiso Bar. The BR 4 part series were held at Paradiso and were some of the venues most popular nights – The 1^st BR at Paradiso – known for visits from Noise Control, Crowd Control and all the bar staff necking double shots of tequila, to roars from the crowd, when Sean made the 1^st switch from Breaks to Drum & Bass! Yea!!! The continued series became infamous for bringing the very “boozy” usually anti-Courtney Place Cuba set down to the seedy cocktail lounge.

BR re-launched at the opening of Sandwiches with a two room philosophy with Hip Hop and Breaks in the Lounge and funky Drum & Bass in the Club. 4 more BR’s have all seen massive turn-outs and epic sets from the residents and guests alike. Some of the most memorable guest’s were Craig Richards from Fabric London, with a unique Lounge Breaks Set, MC Mana, B-Lo and always ex-pat Wellingtonian, Sean.

Breaks Royale returns with Royale Residents, (Wellington's favourite son and arguably one of Australasia's best DJs) Sean returning exclusively from Melbourne, and B-Line (the Queen B of New Zealand Drum & Bass) returning from Auckland. Alongside Club guests Ddog, Dappa, MC Ruggatek & MC Kyla, and in the Lounge - Charlie Diamonds, Marek & Ayna.

Friday the 13th of May 2005.

$15 On the door, with thanks to Chaos Hair, Jagermeister and The Package

Jagermeister on special and free flowing from the Jager Machine!
