".and the winners are."
The results are in, and the last of the legal challenges seen off. Who would have thought a pub quiz would be so competitive? Not any old pub quiz mind, but the NZ Music Month 2005 Pub Quiz. Made possible by Vodafone, with goodies from Jagermeister helping to quench everyone's thirst, the inaugural NZ Music Month Pub Quiz was held on Tuesday May 31st to celebrate the end of another successful Music Month.
All the hours put in to writing conundrum-causing questions paid off as teams from EMI, 95bFM, Vodafone, Isaac Promotions, Real Groovy, NZ On Air, Jagermeister, APRA, and NZ Musician battled (and argued) it out to see who would lift 29 whole centimetres of freshly minted and highly coveted trophy.
NZ On Air took out third place, EMI came in as runners-up, with the spoils of victory going to NZ Musician Magazine. Despite taking home a 1.75 litre bottle of Jagermeister in their prize haul, the NZ Musician team were still on to it enough yesterday to send through a team list for further boasting. Their team of brainiacs consisted of Melanie Selby, Geoff Fitzpatrick, Renee Jones, Phil Armstrong, Julie Moffett, Ben Howe, Mark Bell and Mark Roach
The questions are available on Vodafone Live! and www.nzmusic.org.nz if you want to test your knowledge at home. To recreate the night accurately, you'll need a couple of Jagermeister miniatures to drink, and a Vodafone mobile to cheat with.
