Christchurch Arts Festival International Jazz Workshop Series

"Applaud" the Christchurch Arts Festival in association with the Christchurch Jazz School will present the following Workshop Series at the Jazz School auditorium.

JAMES MULLER TRIO (AUS) Mon July 25, 1pm Tickets $10 public $5 Students

JUKKA PERKO TRIO (FIN) Tue August 2, 1pm Tickets $10 public $5 Students

BRENDA EARLE (USA) Wed August 3, 1pm Tickets $10 public $5 Students

ALEC DANKWORTH TRIO (UK) Sat August 6, 2pm Tickets $10 public $5 Students

The workshops, which are open to all comers, are an opportunity for jazz students and local professional musicians to develop their skills and build networks, as well as for jazz enthusiasts to get an insight into the creative processes of top musicians.

"An important and exciting aspect of festivals is the opportunity for local artists to interact with the national and international arts coming into the city," says festival director, Guy Boyce.

"It's great to partner with the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology Jazz School for this programme," he says.
