Kiwi’s Dominate World Motocross
In front of 27,000 spectators, 17 year old Katherine Prumm, (Kawasaki) of Pukekohe finished in second position at the inaugural FIM Women’s World Cup, held in Uddevalla, Sweden.
Current New Zealand Women’s Championship, and the only female member of Motorcycling New Zealand’s High Performance Programme, Prumm topped off a fantastic weekend of results for New Zealand with Josh Coppins winning both races in the MX 1 class for the overall win and Ben Townley second overall – making it a 1-2 Kiwi Podium.
Prumm placed second in both moto’s for her overall 2nd position on what was a demanding track after the MX1 and MX 2 races.
