The wedding dress (Il vestito da sposa) Young bride-to-be, Stella, goes through an horrendous violent ordeal that changes her life.

The spectator (La spettatrice) This is a hypnotic and richly compelling journey; a haunting tale of loneliness & missed connection.

Truth and lies (La forza del passato) A passionate journey that challenges the nature of acceptance and forgiveness.

First love (Primo amore) “Primo amore” is an atmospheric thriller about fixation and the inability to love. An astonishing true story about an obsessive love affair.

The miracle (Il miracolo) Tonio is an introspective twelve-year-old boy, who is attributed with miraculous healing powers. An examination of how inexplicable events play into people’s need to believe in divine intervention.

Now or never (Ora o mai più) A fictional look at the fateful days of the G8 conference in Genoa in June 2001, where a group of students discover a new path full of passion and social conscience.

Love lies, kids and dogs (Uomini, donne, bambini e cani) Comedy about a family of two young parents, their five children and their pet dogs and cats, all set in the ‘60s.

The consequences of love (Le conseguenze dell’amore)‘The consequences of love’ is an ice-cool existential thriller in a style reminiscent of ‘Memento’ and ‘The usual suspects’.

Answer me (Nel mio amore)A festival favourite, Licia Maglietta (Bread & Tulips) continues to delight with her heart felt portrayal of a woman searching for some form of inner peace. An uplifting story.

Forever (Per sempre)A love story ‘beyond all reason’, follows a top penal lawyer whose life is ‘scratched’ by unexpected arrival, then departure, of a beautiful, ruthless woman practiced at seducing, and discarding, powerful men like him.

Break free (Liberi)An uplifting film about love and commitment. The coming together of a disparate group of people one summer as they struggle to free themselves from their self created boundaries.

MYSTERIOUS SKIN Mysterious Skin is a challenging film that deals with pedophilia and the reality of its far-reaching consequences. As 8 year olds Neil and Brian are on the same Little League team with the charismatic coach whose house is a haven for kids with video games and all sorts of sugary snacks. Neil, who is lacking a father figure, is drawn to him. He does not recognize what happens as abuse; he is lonely and takes pride in the coach's approval. Nobody, especially not Brian himself, can explain why Brian is suddenly plagued by nosebleeds, fainting spells and blackouts. He still suffers the symptoms 10 years later and comes to believe he may have abducted by aliens.

DARK WATER Jennifer Connelly plays Dahlia, a newly divorced mother forced to find a new apartment within her limited price range. What they end up in is dim, dank and gloomy…and leaks. Though the source of the threat is indistinct, director Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries) never lets up the pressure and creates a genuinely unsettling mood. The audience doesn't know what to fear -- a physical threat, an unconscious revelation -- but a sense of underlying dread is ever-present.

YOUNG ADAM Young Adam is a thriller that is not really a thriller. Ewan McGregor plays Joe, a seemingly harmless young man who prefers reading a book to drinking at the pub. He is currently employed by husband and wife Les and Ella (Mullan and Swinton) on their barge that they pilot through the rivers and canals of Scotland. The film opens with Joe and Les dragging the scantily clad body of a woman from the water and what follows is an insight into very different human responses.

KEKEXILI: MOUNTAIN PATROL Based on real life events, Kekexili tells the story of a journalist from Beijing sent to cover the story of a group of citizens who banded together to try and protect the endangered Tibetan antelope from poachers.

DIG! Narrated by Dandy Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor, DIG! documents the divergent careers of that band and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
