Fabulous Free Tickets
for NZ’s Flower Girls!
Just how many Kiwis are named after a flower? Ellerslie Flower Show is on a mission to find out in a true test of the nation’s flower power.
As a celebratory opening day offer, on Wednesday 16 November people across New Zealand will be granted free entry into the spectacular Ellerslie Flower Show if they can prove their name is the same as a breed of flower*.
To gain free entry, the Daisies, Roses, Lilies and Pansies must arrive at the Ticketek office at the Everglade Drive entrance (off Redoubt Rd) of Auckland Botanic Gardens by 10.15am on Wednesday 16 November and present a passport or driving licence as proof of their name.
Those Poppies, Irises and Marigolds who have already bought a ticket needn’t be disappointed – they can bring a friend who will gain free entry.
The flower girls will then be issued with a ticket and will be invited to attend a group photoshoot on site, where they will also be given a special Ellerslie Flower Show goodie bag to take home.
Pete Cox, general manager of Ellerslie Flower Show says the offer is to celebrate the “grass roots” theme of this year’s Show, which will showcase more flowers than ever before. “Visitors to Ellerslie Flower Show are in for a more extravagant experience than in any previous year,” he says. “Thousands of different varieties will culminate in what’s going to be a breathtaking vision of colour and stunning design.”
Ellerslie Flower Show 2005 promises to be Like Never Before, with innovation, inspiration and floral delights to warm even the coldest gardening heart! The Show will spring into bloom from 16-20 November, when the Auckland Botanic Gardens will be transformed into a blaze of colour. Tickets can be purchased at Foodtown and Woolworths stores nationally or at any Ticketek outlet, by contacting 09 307 5000 (or your local Ticketek number) or via the website www.ticketek.co.nz.
