Visit Auckland Art Gallery's Frances Hodgkins - Leitmotif Exhibition And Win A Trip For Two To Singapore With Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines wants to give art enthusiasts the chance to win a trip for two to Singapore when they attend the Frances Hodgkins - Leitmotif exhibition at the Auckland Art Gallery.
Singapore Airlines is proud to be the major sponsor of the exhibition, which opens to the public tomorrow.
Frances Hodgkins (1869-1947) is renowned as one of New Zealand's top artists. She began her long artistic career as a minor provincial watercolorist. In 1901 she took her first trip to Europe, where she was eventually to spend a significant part of her life. By the time she died in 1947, Hodgkins was regarded as one of the leading artists of the British modern movement.
Singapore Airlines' congratulates the Auckland Art Gallery on their feat of acquiring such a large collection of her works from numerous public and private collections for this exhibition.
The airline is particularly happy to announce the exhibition will feature Wings over Water from Tate Britain.
This painting shows the view from the Hodgkins rooms in Bodinnick Cornwall in the winter of 1931-2 and close inspection of the stunning artwork could see you become a winner!
Singapore Airlines and the Auckland Art Gallery are asking Leitmotif attendees to answer the following question: "How many shells are there in the painting Wings Over Water?" to be in to win two return flights to Singapore flying Singapore Airlines.
Leitmotif runs from November 15 2005 to April 2 2006 and the prize will be drawn at the end of the exhibition.
