Concert details are:
Date: Thursday 6 April
Time: 12.10pm
Location: Whare Wananga, Second Floor, Central City Library, 44-46 Lorne Street, Auckland City.

Darrell is a bass trombonist for Dalewool Auckland Brass - the current New Zealand Band of the Year. He has played in the 1999 and 2004 New Zealand champion band, the 2003 Australian champion band and the 2006 New Zealand All Stars band.

As a soloist, Darrell won the 2001 Australian bass trombone title, and placed second in New Zealand in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2005. He is also a performing member of the Auckland Music Clef Club and the North Shore Harmony Club and regularly performs at concerts.

Darrell says, "It is a rare and unique experience to hear the bass trombone as a solo instrument. There is relatively small repertoire and the instrument has a unique sound."
