A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF MARGARET MAHY: Last May, we started trailing around after one of New Zealand’s most successful authors in the hope that we’d get some interesting moments in an artist’s life. Did we ever! Margaret Mahy has won countless awards, been named an Arts Icon, had a TV series of her creation go to air, turned 70 and won the premier children’s writing prize of the world, the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
